It is with great sadness that I must announce the tragic passing of our dear brother and friend, Taylor Rego. On July 2nd, 2024, while vacationing in Cancun, Mexico with his new wife, Emily, and close friends, he was involved in a devastating accident. In very critical condition, Taylor was rushed to the nearest private hospital where he underwent initial surgeries, was then transported to alternate hospitals and eventually succumbed to his injuries. We cannot express the amount of grief everyone is experiencing while also having to navigate the extreme complexities of a tragedy in a foreign country. Due to his home in Costa Rica where affordable healthcare is more readily available, Taylor and Emily were not covered for healthcare in Mexico, where treatment requires cash upfront. The extraordinary support shown by friends to extend debt helped permit what care was able to be rendered. Our priority now is to secure safe transport of Taylor, along with Emily and their close friends who are still in Mexico as they mourn this loss. With mounting debt and incredible circumstances, we are humbly requesting donations from those that are moved and able to help with the vast medical costs, transportation needs, and funeral expenses that will be incurred. Taylor and Emily were high school sweethearts, married in September 2024, looking to begin the rest of their lives together. Their lives revolved around new adventures and traveling the world together, so much so that they opened and operated a bed and breakfast in Zancudo, Costa Rica. Our lives will forever be touched by the memory of Taylor, and we would greatly appreciate privacy for the family as they grieve his loss. In lieu of contacting them directly, please feel free to leave an encouraging message here for them to see. Thank you, Caleb Robinson
