It is with heavy hearts to share that on Friday, July 28, 2024, our beloved Raina Shirley-Ann Scott passed away, but the family and close friends are finding comfort in the fact that she is finally reunited with her mother Candace and her brother Tyler.   Raina was many things in this world, but her most treasured role was becoming a mother to her daughter, Ocean, in September of 2024. Raina was and will always be a mother, sister, and charismatic friend to all. Raina had a light like no other and she never failed to share it with everyone around her.  Raina is survived by her 10-month-old daughter Ocean, her sisters (Asia, Jade, Saddiyah, Crystal, Joyce and Tara), her brothers (Rene and Darian), her father who doubled as her role model (David “Jingles” Kirton), Grandma Shirley and Great grandmother Jessie. Raina was born on November 8th, 1994, and went to her final resting place on July 28th, 2024.   Anyone who had the opportunity to know Raina knows that she played a vital role in raising her sisters, she was passionate about taking care of others around her, regardless of the situation. Raina showed an inspiring passion for the people closest to her and was beginning the best change in her life when she found out she was having her daughter. All that know Raina knew she was destined to be a parent, and Ocean was so lucky for all the time she got to have with her mother. Raina became an aunt at a young age and took that role very seriously and was devoted to being a godmother to her nephew, Nayson.   No matter what Raina could always make you laugh, even on her worst days. That just exemplifies her character. Her family and friends find peace knowing that Raina is finally resting with her brother Tyler and mother Candace. We all hope it brings Raina peace to know that her daughter will be surrounded by the people who knew and loved her for many years and her legacy will never be forgotten, only continued and cherished.   We will fulfill your wishes to throw Ocean the best first birthday party ever and we know, you’ll be watching down and blowing out the candles with Ocean alongside your brother and mom. The family would appreciate any donations to help with the costs associated with any expenses funeral related and to help support her daughter and sisters. Information regarding a celebration of life will follow.   Sincerely, The family/friends of Raina Shirly Ann Scott
