It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of Michael's passing on July 11th, 2024. It was sudden and heartbreaking. He was a loving husband and father who cared deeply for his family and friends. Michael was a mentor to many and he always had a smile on his face. He always tried to help when he could, offer advice and lend an ear. We always had an open-door policy in our home. He went to work feeling fine on Friday, July 7th, 2024. He came home, vacuumed the pool and we went swimming. He woke up Saturday at 4:30 am with severe pain in his stomach. We went to the hospital and they admitted him right away. He was diagnosed with severe acute pancreatitis. As we waited for a regular room, they told us his blood pressure and sugar levels were dropping rapidly. They instead transferred him to the ICU. It progressed quickly to kidney failure. They tried dialysis to no avail progressively getting worse. Because I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2001 and unable to work, Michael had been my sole caregiver. He went above and beyond to take care of me and our home. Unfortunately, he did not have life insurance. I’ve started a fundraiser to collect donations for a funeral service and household expenses. During this traumatic time, please donate what you can to help our family. We kindly request your help in any way you can - no contribution is too small and each donation is a meaningful gesture of support and solidarity. Every little bit helps and will go a long way in alleviating some of the pressure faced by our family. With love, Arlene Zollo
