On July 25th, all our hearts were rocked by the unexpected passing of Josh Zepeda. It was a day many of us still mourn. Josh was an amazing and unique soul. His presence touched the souls of so many individuals. His reach was far and wide. His laughter was contagious and his energy was felt by all that was present. Never have I met a person who didn't love him or wanted to be next to him. Josh, unfortunately, left behind his most prized and cherished gift to the world, his beautiful daughter, Athena. Josh's pride and joy had always been his daughter. He shared many memories of her and how she would light up his life. Josh, selflessly, spent every moment providing for her, loving her, cherishing her. He worked countless hours and gave up so much of himself to ensure he always provided for her. It was never Josh first, it was always Athena first, second and always. Josh never complained about his responsibilities, tired or not, he just kept moving forward and just gave with an endless open heart. It is my goal to continue to provide for Athena the way Josh spent every waking moment and thought providing for her. The goal is to establish a trust for Athena and provide a little relief for her when she is grown. I remember Josh had many dreams and aspirations but never enough money to fulfill them all. Hopefully, we can help this beautiful little girl achieve some of her dreams and have Josh smile down from the heavens and be proud of the kind of person she will grow into and her many accomplishments along the way.
