Dear Friends and Family, It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Gui Ja Lim. Shortly after getting her foot amputated in May, she was diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer. The condition progressed rapidly and within weeks of being diagnosed with cancer, God called her to her eternal place on July 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. Gui Ja was a loving wife and proud mother to her two children, Sarah and Peter Chang. She was married for almost 40 years to her husband Pastor Chang; the two shared an inseparable love filled with laughter. The way the two treated each other made the couple an ample role model to those who knew them. Above all, she loved and feared God. She was a dedicated, respected and passionate person serving those around her. It was an understatement that she was an amazing cook, a talent she bequeathed to her dear daughter, Sarah. She is survived by her loving husband Pastor Chang, and her children Sarah Chang, Peter Chang and his wife Linna Chang. Throughout our friendship with Sarah and Peter, we've all witnessed the love this family had for each other. The children adored her and so did we. Let us remember Gui Ja as a woman who lived a good life under God's guidance. She embraced her roles with grace and humility, leaving an everlasting impression on all those fortunate enough to know her. Please join us in supporting the family.
