In loving memory of Daniel Yanuaria Velasco. Daniel was an amazing person with such a warm, beautiful heart and soul. At the time of his passing, to make sense of all this, a friend told us “Sometimes the world doesn’t deserve good people” and Daniel was the best of us all. We used to joke about how Daniel was a man of the people because we’ve never met someone who could make such positive, lasting connections with anyone he meets. Even at this time, he continues to bring friends, families and loves ones together as we celebrate his life and remember just how special he was and how he has helped us grow into better people. He would always say happiness is created by who you surround yourself with and he would enjoy seeing us celebrate life with good company, good food, and plenty of laughter. Knowing Daniel, during these sad times, he would tell us all to “relax our souls and find peace.” He would remind everyone of us to take a minute to breath and to look around you to make sure those you care about feel loved. He would remind us to live each day in the present moment as he did. Daniel leaves behind a legacy as a loving husband to Kimberly Velasco, loving father to Bayani Velasco and Austin Jones III, loving son to Andres Velasco and Cirila Yanuaria, loving brother to Amee Velasco and Wayne Kao, and loving family member and friend to all those who surrounded his life. Daniel loved deeply and beautifully, evident by his love for Kimberly and his family. Those lucky enough to be in their presence witnessed his love for Kimberly grow into a beautiful family as they built a home full of love, laughter, and music that warms the soul. As family and friends, we want to continue spreading his happiness and peace by creating this fundraiser to help the family keep his legacy and memories going during these difficult times.
