Life is unexpected when you loose a loved one with such an energetic soul and a big heart. Colt Smiley was tragically killed in a vehicle accident on July 5, 2024. Colt was an incredible friend, loving son, crazy brother, dedicated employee and was truly a joy to be around. Colt loved his family but he especially loved being an Uncle to Sophia. He enjoyed the outdoors & had an extreme passion for life. Colt had a large presence in Virginia City & loved his hometown. Colt was passionate about helping others and the family would like to be able to have a scholarship in his name in the future. His hometown was so important to him and they plan to keep his memory alive! His family is dedicated to the community where they live his brother is in public service and his mom is a Storey County Dispatcher. A true first responder family affected by tragedy. A celebration of life announcement will be made as the details become available. All funds will be used for final expenses with the remainder going to a scholarship in Colts name.
