I’M STILL HERE is free to watch online to make the film accessible to everyone. If you are able to donate then we would love your support. Watch on: YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIxqIER2dpk Please help us spread the important messages of the film by sharing it. WHY DONATE? Making this film widely available for free means we are reliant on donations to cover the costs of making and distributing the film. Through this film, we wish to inspire and empower audiences to become part of the movement to end homelessness. Production: £25,000 to cover our team’s out-of-pocket outlays for post-production services (editing, sound mixing, music rights etc) to complete the film. Distribution: £10,000 to cover existing and future costs relating to community screenings, online distribution and marketing support (website, flyers etc). Educational Impact Tool: £15,000 to develop an educational tool for schools in the UK and beyond. This tool will be developed as a collaboration between several schools and our team. The focus will be on the root causes of homelessness, the human experience of homelessness, the role of trauma and the importance of social connection. Any profits from the film are donated to homelessness charity Under One Sky and the key contributors on screen who are affected by homelessness. Our team has spent countless hours in the last 3 years completing this film without any payment. We’ve been driven by our commitment to show the world what really happened on the streets of London through the eyes of those who were left with nothing. THIS STORY NEEDED TO BE TOLD On 23rd March 2024, London’s bustling streets became deserted overnight. People had been ordered to “stay at home”. Everyone and everything had gone. Everyone except society’s most ostracised group: people affected by homelessness. Seeing the desperate situation, Under One Sky, a small community group, started a daily emergency response providing food, water, life necessities and human connection. Within weeks a handful of people grew into a movement with hundreds of brave Londoners coming together to support “the forgotten ones”. I’M STILL HERE follows the lives of Laraine, Lukas, Pops and Sean. Exposing hardships endured during this frightening time and their journeys towards new possibilities. I’M STILL HERE shows what can be achieved through community, compassion and connection. A reminder that at the heart of humanity lies hope. I’M STILL HERE’s executive producers include Emmy award-winning director/producer duo Ian Bonhôte and Dee Ryder (Misfits Entertainment) and award-winning actor Elizabeth McGovern (Downton Abbey). THE STORY AND IMPACT SO FAR… The film premiered at Chichester Film Festival (UK) in August 2024. The film was also selected for the Awareness Festival (US), Julien Dubuque Film Festival (US), Kingston International Film Festival (UK) and was nominated for the Spirit Award at Raindance Film Festival (UK). Director Franc Vissers was named on the British Independent Film Awards long list for Best Debut Director of Documentary. Since the world premiere I’M STILL HERE has been showing in UK and Danish cinemas as well as at community and company screenings. At launch the film was supported by Mick Jagger, Jade Jagger, Dougray Scott and Harris Dickinson. The film has proven successful in generating new volunteers for Under One Sky and effective in changing attitudes/perceptions towards homelessness. This is why it is so important to get this film out far and wide. We invite you to become part of a movement to end homelessness for good. To establish backing for this goal we need to build true awareness at a mass scale through the voices of those affected to motivate real informed change. Love and gratitude, The I'M STILL HERE team
