My name is Hannah, I wanted to come on here and create an account for my sister Jamie. Last month, December ‘23, my Brother-In-Law, and my big sisters Husband, Joe Colon tragically lost his life. We were completely shocked by this, and unprepared would be an understatement. To see my sister mourn the loss of her Joe, has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to witness. Jamie is the sweetest, most generous, and loving person I know. She doesn’t deserve this. I want to be able to help my big sister in any way that I can, and I am praying that this works. These funds would help with the celebration of life services, and to help with the loss of a second income for the next 6mo-1yr, to give her time to grieve, and help her get back on her feet. We truly appreciate any donations at all, and even if our goal is not reached we are still thankful for every cent because it all counts. It counts more than I can put into words. Below I have added some things that will help you all see the wonderful human being that Joe Colon was. We thank you all so much for donating or sharing our Go Fund Me, to help spread the word in the hopes of reaching new people. - Hannah Joe left this world unexpectedly, leaving behind his wife and loving family. We are raising donations to help my sister Jamie with the loss of income while she adjusts to the changes ahead, having lost the love of her life. We also want to help the family to come together and rejoice his memory in his celebration of life services. In loving memory of Joe Colon Joe was a man of warmth, strength, and passion. Born and raised in the Bronx, he was a true New Yorker at heart. As a child, he found joy in hobbies such as breeding racing pigeons and playing baseball, embracing the simple pleasures that shaped his vibrant spirit. A man of many talents, he found joy in the simplicities of life, from the crack of a baseball against a bat to the revving of an engine as he tinkered with cars. His hands were his tools, crafting, fixing, and creating with a skill that reflected his boundless ingenuity. His heart overflowed with compassion, as he dedicated himself to caring for seniors, sharing his warmth and lending a helping hand whenever it was needed. Music was a part of his soul, and the rhythm of salsa stirred memories of his father's club in the Bronx, intertwining generations through the power of melody. His curiosity knew no bounds, as he gazed up at the stars, marveling at the mysteries of space and finding solace in the embrace of nature. He dreamed of a life nestled in the countryside, where the world moved at a gentler pace, and his spirit could roam free. Through it all, he remained grateful, finding joy in every moment and treasuring the blessings that graced his path. Though he has left this world, his legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering gratitude will continue to shine brightly, forever etched in the hearts of those who were touched by his remarkable spirit.
