English: Hope for Pets is a student-led organization dedicated to raising awareness and fundraising for animal shelters in Venezuela in need of financial support. In the state of Zulia, it was recently discovered that an animal shelter with about 20 dogs and cats was abandoned after its founders had to leave the country. Our job is to try to raise as many funds as possible for Refugio San Francisco de Asis, in order to be able to take in and provide for the abandoned animals and the ones that are currently there. We admire the work of people who have taken a step towards the betterment of our country, but they need our help to keep going. These shelters need money to vaccinate, treat, sterilize, and buy food for their animals, and every day, it is getting harder to afford all of these things. So, we encourage you to also take a step towards the betterment of Venezuela, and donate! Spanish: Hope for Pets es una organización dirigida por estudiantes dedicada a crear conciencia y recaudar fondos para refugios de animales en Venezuela que necesitan apoyo financiero. En el estado de Zulia, se descubrió recientemente que un refugio de animales con unos 20 perros y gatos fue abandonado luego de que sus fundadores tuvieran que abandonar el país. Nuestro trabajo es intentar recaudar la mayor cantidad de fondos posibles para el Refugio San Francisco de Asís, para poder acoger y sustentar a los animales abandonados y a los que se encuentran actualmente allí. Admiramos el trabajo de las personas que han dado un paso hacia el mejoramiento de nuestro país, pero necesitan nuestra ayuda para seguir adelante. Estos refugios necesitan dinero para vacunar, tratar, esterilizar y comprar comida para sus animales, y cada día es más difícil costear todas estas cosas.
