Help the Hope For Life School open for the 2024-2024 school year! In 2012, I (Hannah) fell in love with a group of kids from Hope For Life Children’s Home in Gressier, Haiti. This group of orphans, vulnerable children and earthquake survivors were being cared for by a handful of loving adults with very little in the way of resources. As I volunteered more often at Hope For Life I realized the enormous need, and I decided to use my voice to advocate for resources for these incredible kids. For the past 3 years our fundraisers and your amazing generosity have been the only means of keeping the doors open at Hope For Life’s school. Our gratitude for you is immeasurable and words cannot express the impact you’ve made in these 23 kids' lives. Part of our continuing commitment to these precious kids and their education is to provide salaries for the nine teachers who teach both the 23 residents of the children’s home in addition to almost 180 children from the neighboring community. Not only is this the most affordable option for these 200+ kids, it is also the safest as travel to schools outside of their community can be dangerous, especially with Haiti’s current instability. The sum total for operating expenses and nine teacher salaries for the year comes to $10,800. The breakdown for that is a monthly salary of $120 per teacher. Any additional funds collected will go towards school supplies and books. This is a huge undertaking and there is no way Hope For Life can open the school without the help of MANY hands! We are trusting that God will provide and we know that so many of you know and love the Hope For Life kiddos and will be eager to help!
