This is Brandi's friend Jill writing this on behalf of the Carden family. When I created this Go Fund Me for Brandi, Shane had not left us quite yet and I had no idea what end of life expenses would entail when I set the original goal for $3,000. There's so much more to consider. The goal has been increased today to $4,500...Let's see what we can do for Shane! UPDATE: Shane went home to be with GOD on Wednesday, July 19, 2024 surrounded by his loving wife Brandi, his amazing kids Beckah and Theo as well as their mom, Lynn. It is so amazing to know the love and see the love you all have and continue to have for Shane and his family! A memorial will be held. Details will follow soon! For those who have followed Shane's fight this last year with support, love & prayers, thank you from the bottom of my heart. He needed all of that endlessly. He is no longer able to fight and has reached the end of his journey with us. As he begins to transition to find his wings home, please continue to pray for a peaceful departure. My heart is crushed for Brandi, their children and their family. The next challenge will be the financial obligation that is unfortunately a part of this process. As Shane's condition left him unable to provide income and made him ineligible for insurance to cover end-of-life expenses, Brandi is left with the burden. We know times are tough for everyone, but if you are able to assist, we are deeply grateful. Brandi is quite worried about how to ensure Shane's expenses are covered. Please help us honor him.
