Hello guys. It is with great regret that I make this post. On the 12th of June, we bought our baby Zeus from a woman. Never in any of our conversations had he mentioned that the pup had a heart condition. On the contrary, she said that he had already been to the vet and that he was healthy and strong. In the same week, on the 16th of June, we took him to the vet to have the chip inserted and to carry out all the necessary procedures when having an animal. And that same day the vet told us that his heart had a very loud murmur that he considered to be a 5 on a scale of 1 to 6. And since then everything started to fall apart. Our family was already extremely shaken because even in a few days we had already become attached to Zeus, as well as Apollo (our other French bulldog) who was also already in love with his younger brother. And there was no possibility of returning it to her (since for us an animal is not like a commodity that you buy and if it comes with a defect or if you don't like it, you go and return it). So we took the vet's advice and scheduled an echocardiogram as soon as possible (the exam alone cost $800). On the same day that we found out that he could have something serious (since the vet said that it could be something not so bad but that it could also be something serious and a more specific exam was needed, in this case, the echocardiogram) we got in touch with the woman that we took him and talked to her so that she could help us in some way, as it was something we were not prepared for. She wanted us to change him and we didn't accept it because we wanted to have all the exams done to find out what he had. Then she said that she would help us with $500 for the echocardiogram exam. We scheduled the exam as soon as possible, and in a few days, we had the results. Indeed he has a grade 5 out of 6 and will need surgery to inflate a balloon in one of the veins that pump blood to the heart. So, today when we received the final email from the veterinary faculty that we contacted to read the results and give us the final report, we got in touch with the owner of the French bulldog breeding. And then it gets worse, she got into an argument with me saying that I was lying about the test results and that I was trying to deceive her. She said that it had a grade 1 out of 6 and not 5 out of 6. That's when I asked her where she got that from and the exam result was clear that it was a grade 5 out of 6, and she sent us an exam done on April 26th (when he was one month and 24 days old) which already showed that he had some kind of heart problem. And like I said, NEVER, ever in any of our conversations before today did she mention this initial test result of his. And now she blocked me, until today she didn't pay the $500 she was going to help us with for the initial exam. And she just blocked me on Facebook. And we are here to try to find help with the cost of the surgery that is scheduled for the 27th of July. On the 26th of July, 2 more exams will be carried out to guarantee which procedure will be best for him. Because there are 3 options, ranging from $6000 to $8700. All treatment will be done in Oregon (we live in Seattle). So, in addition to the waiver with the exams and the surgery, we will still have to pay for the trip. Any help is extremely welcome and we would like to thank everyone for their help and attention. We have faith that our puppy will be fine and live a long life with our family. The first two pictures are of little Zeus These other pictures are of Zeus and Apollo on their first day together, with an inexplicable connection and harmony. Impossible to imagine our life without Zeus. These are some screenshots of the conversation we had with the woman, as well as the exams and emails we received with the results of the exams and the Zeus surgery.
