Hi, my name is Kat Laskey, and I’m fundraising to help this unlucky-turned-lucky little bunny find her way home. Three weeks ago, someone contacted our @bunnies_of_north_central Instagram account to report a bunny in the street, hiding under cars, in the Culver City area. Unable to go look for the bunny, I shared a plea for help on Instagram: An incredible human saw the post and drove all the way from Riverside to find the bunny! 24 hours later, she was still hiding under the same car, and went right into his carrier. However, the Good Samaritan who caught her was unable to keep her. We tried looking for a foster, but no on stepped up, so of course she ended up with us. And she’s been doing well here! Although she’s still a little shy and covered in urine stains - the signs of her old life of neglect - she is quite balanced and active, and free roaming peacefully among the cat and our very old dog. Thankfully, this lucky Bunny has an interested adopter with a male bunny whose bunwife recently passed away, and needs a new lady friend! ❤️ AND we have a committed rescue who will take her in, just in case that bonding doesn’t work out. But first, we must get her spayed and vaccinated. (I know Bunny, it’s gonna be ok!) Thankfully, we got a discount spay/neuter voucher from www.laanimalservices.com - (Not much but it’s something....) And AMAZINGLY we found a rabbit vet who will honor it! And her appointment is TOMORROW. (Yes, Bunny, it’s really happening.) Dear friends and animal lovers, I ask for your support in getting this lucky bunny spayed and vaccinated, so that we can move her on to a humane, free roam forever home. Although I would love to do this on my own, the truth is that I can only do so much. I can post the bunnies, and be a halfway house when I’m able, but if I take on too much, I will financially deplete myself and not be able to keep helping more bunnies. The total amount expected tomorrow for spay + vaccination is around $300-$350. Any contribution big or small is greatly appreciated. I am so grateful for this supportive bunny community - and for all the true animal lovers of the world! Thank you for helping us to get this lucky bunny all fixed up...
