Hi, my name is Skye and I am fundraising for Wesley Davis, my significant other. He has a dairy farm here in Vermont with wonderful Holsteins. He has been operating a dairy farm since 2009. He works tirelessly every day for his animals and community. Recently, with the flooding in Vermont, he has lost about 100 acres of corn. The river flooded his crop and ruined all of the corn land he has. Not only did the river physically knock over the corn, but mud and debris covers the soil. I am asking for assistance because he did not receive as much aid as he was hoping for or needing from relief programs and insurance. He now has to figure out how to feed our animals next year. Due to the increase in demand, price of corn has gone up. Corn is important for our cows to keep their energy levels up and maintain their health. We love and care for our animals, not just as milkers, but as part of our family. They have names, large personalities, and lots of love to give. We want to be able to give them the best diet we possibly can. Any help is beyond appreciated as we try to continue to farm in these trying conditions.
