Hello friends, family and kind strangers! We need community help to raise money for our daughter Yona's first year of Waldorf education. Last year, our family dynamic shifted from nuclear, inner-city living to co-parenting between East Sussex and London. Aspects of this have been challenging, including building up new lives and livelihoods. While we feel settled as a family, we are now facing a choice about our daughter's education. Waldorf education is rooted in the holistic understanding of child development as well gentle, nature-connected learning. Yona is a creative, imaginative and highly receptive child, and will thrive at our local Waldorf School. As Yona’s parents, we deeply wish to give her access and for her to benefit from this type of education and care, which is exceptionally suited for her. Being a trained Early Years Waldorf practitioner myself, this educational approach is very close to my heart. I deeply believe every child should have the right to the type of education most supportive of their needs, regardless of financial circumstances. Instead of giving up on this dream for her, we are reaching out to our community to ask for your support. We are not able to receive any grants or bursaries towards the school fees until at least next year. Class 1 fees are over £10,000 alone. Every contribution will go towards paying those fees and will tremendously help us make Yona's first year of formal learning a magical experience. We are so grateful to you all!
