My grandma (Gina) has dedicated her life to supporting both her family and community. She frequently donated both her time and delicious meals to her family and chosen family alike as well as charities like Nancys Hope and Grandmas house. She was a devote christian, grandma, and mother. She loved to cook, garden, and craft. Through she has been chronically ill throughout her life, none of us thought she would go so soon. On June 25th she was admitted to the hospital with severe abdominal pain, on June 26th it was discovered that she had a large tear in her bowel and had gone septic. She had a string of four surgeries that led to two failed ostomies. After several attempts to clear the necrotic tissue she was left with a 27cm wound that it was clear would never heal. We made the decision to place her on comfort care (where she remains now) and we would like to be able to provide her with a service as beautiful as she is. UPDATE: Grandma passed peacefully at 2:06 am on July 17th. Thank you all for your support & donations, we reached our goal! and it’s taken so much weight off of our shoulders and given us the ability to grieve as stress free as possible. Donations are still greatly appreciated to help cover the cost of flowers as well as some other expenses but her service is paid for. Thank you all for your support!
