Hi all! Over the next semester, I will complete my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Emerson College. During two of those semesters, I will be working on my BFA capstone short film titled "Opulence." This LFEBridge campaign aims to support the creation of an independent film that delves into the dark and complex world of a strip club owner's daughter, April. The story explores her struggles with the club's atmosphere, her relationship with her boyfriend Jae, and the unexpected turn of events that lead her into a surreal and mysterious realm. The film unfolds as April navigates the upscale yet unsettling environment of the strip club, torn between loyalty to her father, Dennis, and her own desires. As the night progresses, April's world becomes increasingly surreal, blending reality with hallucinations and mirroring her internal conflicts. The campaign seeks funding to bring this unique and thought-provoking film to life, exploring themes of identity, societal expectations, and the consequences of one's choices. Your support will contribute to the production's visual and narrative elements, ensuring a compelling and immersive cinematic experience. Join us in bringing this captivating story to the screen and shedding light on the complexities of human relationships and personal growth. While I am doing all I can to fund this project on my own, please do consider giving a helping hand! Funding goes towards pre-production, production, and post-production costs such as locations, crafty (meals for cast and crew), production design materials, lodging, festival submissions, etc. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated, and even if you can't donate, kind moral support/re-sharing would be a great help too!
