Hi, we are asking for many prayers and a little help with Tulip's fight against cancer for the 2nd time. We adopted Tulip 3 1/2 years ago from the shelter and on the day we were approved they told us she had mammary cancer. She went right into surgery. 3 months later it was back and she went into the hospital for a radical mastectomy. Then months of chemo. She was cancer free for 14 months. We found a mass in her lung in December of 2024. She has been on Palladia since then with rechecks and tests every 6 weeks. It started to grow and the chemo is not working as well. We did a ($3000) cat scan and there is no spread and only the one mass. She went into surgery on August 1, 2024. She has developed pneumonia in the hospital. She is the happiest little girl you could ever meet. She did so well with chemo without hardly any side effects. We are hoping that she will be totally cancer free for the 1st time since we adopted her. Our original estimate for the surgery was $7000 to $10,000. Now it will be more as she is fighting pneumonia. As you can imagine the last 3 1/2 years have been very expensive. We have used Care Credit, credit cards and savings. Now we are asking for a little bit of help with this unexpected turn in her health. She has brought so much love and light into our home for both of us and our other dog, Jack. Our whole house was devastated at the loss of our 1st beagle, Charlie at 17 years of age. When Tulip moved in, she and Jack were immediately in love. Her happiness and sweetness made all of us come alive again. Now we are fighting to keep her alive. If you can donate, share and spread the word we would be so grateful. But most important, please say a prayer and send healing thoughts. We can't lose Tulip. She has fought so hard and every day has a happy tail wag and a smile on her face.
