Dear friends and community, We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Diane Wurtz, an extraordinary mother, cherished friend, and the shining light of the Wurtz family. Diane's unwavering love, infectious laughter, and unwavering support made her a beloved figure in the lives of her children, Joe and Emily. Today, we come together to honor Diane's memory and extend our heartfelt support to her grieving family. Throughout her battle with cancer, Diane displayed immense strength and resilience, going in and out of remission for years. However, the financial toll of extensive treatments, including chemotherapy, has left her family's resources severely depleted. Today, we stand with Joe and Emily, recognizing the financial challenges they now face as they try to navigate life without their beloved mother. Diane's unwavering dedication as a mother was evident in her constant presence at her children's activities, always bringing the tastiest snacks to soccer games and cheering the loudest whenever her son scored a goal. Her warm and welcoming nature made her a second mother to many of Joe and Emily's friends—the "cool mom" who made sleepovers at the Wurtz's house the highlight of childhood. Diane's vibrant personality lit up any room, and her ability to bring joy and laughter to any gathering was truly remarkable. If there was a party - she was the life of it. Her generous heart knew no bounds, and she would go above and beyond to help anyone in need. Whether it was school fundraisers or other activities, Diane was always ready to lend a hand. With this fundraiser, we aim to provide Joe and Emily with the support they need during this difficult time. The funds raised will be used to cover funeral expenses, ensuring that Diane receives the dignified farewell she deserves. Additionally, we seek to alleviate the financial burden on Joe and Emily by supporting their travel needs and providing them the time off work necessary to grieve and heal. While money cannot buy happiness, it can alleviate some of the financial stress and provide a small measure of relief as they navigate this new chapter in their lives. Our initial fundraising goal is set at $9,000, which will cover the funeral costs. However, any additional funds raised will provide ongoing support for Joe and Emily as they face the challenges ahead. Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference in their lives, showing them that they are not alone in their grief and that they have a community of caring individuals standing beside them. Please consider making a contribution to this fundraiser, and join us in honoring Diane's memory while providing tangible support to Joe and Emily. We also encourage you to share your cherished memories and stories of Diane and her children, as these shared moments will offer comfort and strength during this difficult time. Let us come together as a community to honor the incredible legacy of Diane Wurtz and offer our support to Joe and Emily as they navigate this profound loss. Your kindness and generosity will help ease their burden and remind them that they are surrounded by love. Please note that funeral arrangements are still being finalized, and I will promptly update this page with the specific details of the gatherings once they have been determined. With deep gratitude, Joseph Bezenek Diane aka Mama Peach had been in my life for many years now and I can say what a blessing it was to be accepted into her family with such loving and open arms. Diane loved her two kids, Emily & Joe with ALL of her heart. If you were so lucky to know Diane, you know that she had a beautiful smile, a silly joke and was the biggest Packer's fan around. Please support her children in any way you can as they provide services for her. So much love and appreciation, Molly Spilger
