Hi, my name is Carson. I am 13 years old and have a 1st-degree brown belt in karate. I have been training since I was 6 years old and want to continue training until I earn my black belt and beyond. Recently, I qualified to represent TEAM USA at the World Kickboxing and Karate Union (WKU) championships in Calgary, Alberta, Canada! I qualified in all six events that I competed in (Creative Weapons, Traditional Weapons, Hard Forms, Korean Forms, Traditional Forms, and Point Sparring)! It would be a dream come true for me to travel to Canada and especially to represent my country in this competition, but I need help getting there! With WKU, I will be in Canada for one week and need help with travel expenses (airfare $2,000; hotel $1,100), ground transportation ($600), tournament registration ($600), new uniforms ($550) and equipment ($200).
