Hi, my name is Katrina and I'm fundraising to help my sister, Leanne, build a cat sanctuary in Abruzzo, Italy. I moved to Abruzzo almost ten years ago and immediately noticed the stray cat population. Leanne moved here 10 months later and we soon both ended up taking in stray animals. We now each have 5 former stray cats (and a dog!). Leanne has decided to give up teaching English in order to dedicate her life to helping the street cats. She has bought some land in a small town and is now preparing to build her cat sanctuary. It will be a first in the area. I want to help get her started with the first cat cabana - a small wooden structure with an enclosed catio. These structures have to be earthquake-proof as we live in an area with seismic activity. Help us get started!
