LFEBridge
DONATE

Hi, my name is Gianna and I started this LFEBridge for my cat, Binx. I noticed this morning he wasn’t acting like himself; he was hiding away and meowing like he was in pain. I called the vet and they recommended I took him to an emergency vet right away. As soon as we got there, they told me he had a blood clot and his bladder had a blockage. They said it was most likely caused by stress due to loud noises (there has been construction in my apartment complex which is when I first noticed signs of him feeling off). They need to sedate him, put a catheter in him, get IVs in him, and keep him for a few days. If we don’t treat this blockage soon, chances are he’ll pass the rainbow bridge anytime within the next few days. I’m a full time student and I’m currently not working so I can focus on my studies. I’m now put in such an unfortunate position where I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get Binx the help and care he so desperately needs. Binx means the world to me, he’s my little cuddle buddy & best friend. I’m hoping I’m able to turn towards our community to get help, whether it be in the form of donations, spreading the word, or just keeping my sweet boy, Binx, in your thoughts and prayers. Edit: Good news! Binx is back home after getting the help he needed. Since he did so well, he didn’t need to stay at the emergency vet as long as anticipated. So not only is our boy back home in our arms, but our vet bill is not nearly as high as they originally estimated. I changed the goal amount to reflect how much it will be now. We want to say thank you so much for all of the support we’ve received, it will never be forgotten ♥️ A new, sad update. We had to rush Binx back to the emergency vet early this morning. They told us he needs surgery or we would have to put him down. The cost of surgery is higher than we could afford. We came to the conclusion we needed to euthanize him. However, the vet along with SF Aid said they will donate the money for us to get the surgery, but we would need to cover $6800 of all the bills (close to $16,000). We need the help of our community now more than ever. We are so distraught and only want to make the right decision for Binx. He’s only 3 and we just want him to live the long, happy life he truly deserves.
