Help Rosie Rosie is a 21-year-old student with Down Syndrome who attends a therapeutic day school and is currently in the transition program. Rosie and her mom have had their fair share of trials and tribulations that began shortly after the abrupt passing of Rosemary's father in 2019. Rosie is one of the sweetest, kindest, and most social students in the transition program who also has an incredible sense of humor and will put a smile on anybody's face. Rosie's mother, Mary, had to take over full responsibility after her husband's passing and was left with an array of difficult challenges and obstacles to face by herself while remaining the rock of her family and primary caretaker of Rosie. Earlier this year, Mary had made several attempts to get Rosie a placement in a living facility for adults with developmental disabilities and was consistently turned down time after time. Rosie and her family recently received the unfortunate news that they would have to sell their home and all they own to pay off debt. As a result, Rosie will not be able to graduate from the school she has been attending since her youth because the family will need to leave the state to move in with family far away. They both have an unknown future of what will be next. Mary has done everything she has in her power to provide the best care for Rosie while working multiple jobs to make ends meet only to be continually met with disappointment. Mary's attitude and perspective is out of this world and she has always remained optimistic even through the consistent hurdles she and Rosie have met. She is an inspiration and Rosie is a reflection of her mother's attitude and perseverance. We are trying to raise money to allow Rosie to continue to blossom while finishing school and finding the right placement after graduation. To do so, donations are being requested to financially help Rosie and her mother get back on track, alleviate their debt, and receive the support they deserve to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. I strongly urge you to donate, share and support Rosemary and her story to give this amazing family the support they greatly need.
