Hello, I am Dr. Michelle McKinney Hammond. In April 2014, Relevance was launched in Ghana, West Africa. A music ministry focused on taking the church beyond the walls and into the streets. By creating a genre called "Rockspiration" an eclectic mix of rock, reggae, jazz, and African rhythms that promote the relevance of the gospel and worship. For the past nine years, I have been working with this group of young people to create amazing music. We have written over 250 songs and I believe it is time for the world to hear their music! Grammy Award-winning producer Jim Tullio has agreed to train the band in his studio in Chicago, Illinois as they prepare to record their project to be distributed by Orchard/Sony Music. This is a tremendous opportunity for them to refine their skills in order to complete their project with excellence. Beyond the recording, it will be great exposure to work ethic. This will be their first trip out of Ghana to the States and I'm sure it will be transformational for all involved. Your donation will assist with airfare and boarding while they are being trained. It is important to me for them to know their focus and consistency have not been in vain and that hard work eventually does bear fruit. the cost to sponsor one band member is $2000 however give according to what you can.
