Hello, compassionate souls and defenders of justice! I am reaching for your help to help me pursue a Master's Degree at the Sorbonne University in France. Update (October 9th, 2024) I’m happy to share with you that I have received a generous donation of a very close friend. Therefore, I’m updating my final amount goal. I am incredibly grateful for all your help and this opportunity, and it has motivated me to redouble my efforts in achieving the campaign's objectives. Your continued support means a lot to me, and I sincerely appreciate your belief in the cause. If you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to reach out to me. Once again, thank you for your unwavering support and encouragement. Update (July 7th, 2024): I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you regarding my campaign. Recently, I was notified that I have been awarded a scholarship, which is fantastic news! Due to this wonderful development, I am pleased to inform you that I am making a change to the total amount of my campaign. With the scholarship's support, I can now revise the campaign goal to better reflect the updated financial situation. My story and cause: My name is Priscilla Mansilla, and I am a dedicated human rights lawyer from Bolivia. I have spent my career fighting for justice and advocating for the rights of the oppressed and marginalized, mostly women and indigenous peoples. Unfortunately, life took a dark turn when I experienced a traumatic incident while working in Guatemala. Despite this ordeal, I am determined to rise above and continue my fight for justice by pursuing a Master's program in Gender and Human Rights in France. I seek your generous support to help me seize this in valuable opportunity for personal growth and to strengthen my impact on society. The Journey So Far: As a human rights lawyer working in Latin America I have faced numerous challenges, but nothing could have prepared me for the emotional and physical turmoil of the sexual assault I experienced at the hands of a colleague in the field while working in Guatemala. This tragedy shook me to my core, but it also reinforced my commitment to fighting against all forms of injustice, especially those perpetrated against women and vulnerable communities. The Opportunity: In my quest to enhance my expertise and better serve those in need, I have been accepted into a prestigious Master's program in Gender and Human Rights in France at "la Sorbonne". This program is renowned for its comprehensive curriculum and world-class faculty, offering the perfect platform to delve deeper into the complexities of gender-based violence and human rights issues. By undertaking this course, I believe I will gain invaluable insights and knowledge, empowering me to be a more effective advocate for survivors of sexual assault and human rights violations. Why I Need Your Help: Moving to a new country and pursuing higher education comes with significant financial challenges. As a human rights lawyer, my focus has always been on helping others, and the financial burden of this opportunity is beyond my current means. The cost of tuition fees, accommodation, travel, and living expenses are substantial, and I am seeking your support to make this dream a reality. I can't do it without you! Your Contribution Matters: By supporting my LFEBridge campaign, you are not only investing in my personal growth but also in the future of human rights and gender justice. The knowledge and expertise I gain during this program will be put to use in empowering survivors, supporting marginalized communities, and advocating for lasting change. Your contribution will have a far-reaching impact on the lives of countless individuals who depend on advocates like me. Other Ways to Help: If you are unable to contribute financially, you can still play a crucial role in making this campaign a success. Spreading the word about my cause through social media, sharing this campaign with your networks, or reaching out to potential sponsors will be immensely valuable and deeply appreciated. Closing Words: The journey to healing from trauma has been arduous, but it has only strengthened my resolve to stand up for justice. Your support will not only allow me to pursue this master's program but will also signify the triumph of hope and resilience over darkness and to move forward with my life. Together, we can make a difference, one step at a time, in creating a world where human rights are protected, and justice prevails. I plan to move to France September the first; your help will be decisive to make this possible. Thank you from the depths of my heart for being a part of this journey and for championing the cause of human rights and gender justice. With profound gratitude, Priscilla Mansilla
