Hi, my name is Suzanne and I’m trying to raise money for our sweet grandpup Chewie who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. Chewie is only 2.5 years old and has been such a huge part of our family. His mom and dad, Jacob & Haley, thought they would never be able to have a baby so Chewie was and is their first baby and he means everything to them! After going through a lot of heartache and disappointment with infertility they recently found out they were pregnant with twins, and due in a few months, so Chewie will be a big brother soon. Chewie started acting unstable a few weeks ago and was being treated for vestibular disease but we found out last week that the situation for him is much worse. The MRI showed a fairly large tumor at his brainstem. We all took a day to be devastated about this news but now we’ve quickly jumped into action to get Chewie help. Haley & Jacob have currently scheduled Chewie help through an oncologist in Greenville SC. We will be traveling and transporting him back and forth to that facility where Chewie will be receiving radiation daily for over 3 weeks. They were told by the Oncologist that there is an 85% success rate of getting Chewie better and giving him more time with his family. The cost of treatment without pet insurance will be huge, so I’ve started this page to help get Chewie all of the help and support that he needs in order to get back to the puppy that we all know and love, and get back to chasing balls and playing with his mom & dad and cousins. Jacob and Haley could really use your help financially to get through this and also would appreciate all of your support and prayers as they ride this emotional rollercoaster.
