Hello. I'm starting this fundraiser to help my dog, Oreo, beat cancer before it becomes too late. Oreo is a 10-year-old lab mix, he is my absolute best friend, and the best pet I've ever owned. We recently have been taking him to the vet for a lump on his arm that just tested positive for cancer. We have been working with an Oncologist vet. It has been so difficult, he is so uncomfortable. His tumor is open and leaking, I am constantly watching him to make sure he doesn't mess with it. He's always wearing a cone and a t-shirt and he has destroyed many cones due to how uncomfortable he is. So far, he is on chemotherapy, but these visits, treatments tests, and maintenance are very costly. Our game plan with the oncologist is to give him chemotherapy treatments, in hopes that it will kill the tumor so the vet can perform surgery to remove it from his body. If this goes according to plan, we will have a few more years with our amazing dog, and he will make a full recovery. This is something that's very difficult for me to do, I never ask anyone for help, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes for Oreo to get the attention and surgery that he needs in order to have a few more years with us. The donations we receive will be used to pay the debt that we have accumulated getting Oreos medical treatment as soon as possible, as well as future cancer treatments, and the surgery that the oncologist recommends once he is well enough to undergo the procedure. We are constantly testing his blood to see how he is reacting to the medication, visiting the oncologist, buying him new cones, shirts, and medications to help him on this healing journey.
