I am a rising senior at DePaul University majoring in Community Psychology and Minoring in Spanish. I am a returning scholar with an achievement of a 4.0 gpa, extremely dedicated to this work. I was recently accepted into a study abroad program in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. The program focuses on community service learning and would offer me the opportunity to further my Spanish language learning as well. Unfortunately, the program fees plus tuition plus traveling fees amounts to more than what is covered by financial aid. Today I am asking for help to reach my goal of $2,000 to help cover these extra costs. The program starts in January and I still need to handle out-of-pocket costs such as the flight ticket, luggage, my passport, and the proper clothing, and essential items for the region. I will be sharing an Amazon wishlist for these items. This is what this fundraiser would cover alongside any other out-of-pocket costs, such as bills, housing, and pet care expenses while I am gone.
