Hi, my name is Fie! Out of blood, sweat and tears I have finished my first graphic novel. It's called "The Wolf and Me" and is a graphic memoir about my life with the chronic disease lupus (SLE). The story takes the reader by the hand through the mythological world of metaphors and strong iconography. Lupus, meaning "wolf", exists as a character throughout the story. It is a book about pain and darkness but also about light and hope. One does not have to suffer from a chronic disease to identify with the dark moments and deep insights that comes from life. My goal with the book is to spread awareness of lupus and what it is like to live with an invisible chronic disease. I also hope to inspire people to live a fuller and more empathic life. I have the book done.. but now I need to get it to people. This is where you, dear reader, comes in. I simply need money to print the book in more copies than the three I have now. I don't want to make money. I simply want to spread the story. So the cost will all go into the printing process. I will be able to print around 200 books if I reach the 2500 euros goal. This would be perfect to share with my friends and family and to be able to send copies to publishing houses. The next step is to get published. Which would be a dream!
