Hi everyone! My name is Jonelle Fitzgerald and I am a junior nursing student at Lipscomb University in Tennessee! Unfortunately, my return to school in the fall is in jeopardy as I can no longer afford tuition expenses. I was born with scoliosis and received surgery 7 years ago, which has become my driving force in pursing this career. I also have a rare autoimmune disorder called myasthenia gravis, which means I have to physically exert myself more than the average person to complete everyday tasks. I have struggled to work, earn money, and properly function this summer.I was blessed to be raised by my grandmother but receive no monetary support from my parents. I transferred universities last year through a leap of faith as my original institution would not accommodate my unique health circumstances. To say the least, I had to fight for my degree with similar challenges at my now university. Regardless of this challenge that has only given me more willpower, I am determined to become a nurse more than ever. I want to achieve all that I believe God has for my life as I know He has called me to this profession. Through my hospitalizations and struggles, God has shown me to rely and trust in Him through those around me.If you feel so led to give, thank you a million. Know I will serve our King with your kind gift. But more than anything, please pray for me as that is something truly priceless and eternal.
