I’m from Chicago, Illinois, and am a rising sophomore at the University of Southern California (USC) studying neuroscience on the pre-med track. I am determined to return to the University of Southern California to continue my education, but unfortunately, financial circumstances beyond my control have put this dream at risk. My mother, who has been my sole support system, has experienced a reduction in work hours due to her health condition, making it incredibly challenging for us to afford my education. As a first-generation student, I am determined to break barriers and achieve academic success. I humbly ask for your support to make this dream a reality. With my mother's health condition and reduced work hours, the burden of funding my education has become overwhelming. Despite my best efforts to save, work part-time, and seek scholarships, I am still unable to bridge the financial gap on my own. I am currently on a financial hold for a balance of $5,000. I can not return to USC for the fall semester until this balance is paid. I would greatly appreciate any assistance.
