Hi! We’re trying to raise some money to help fund necessary back surgery for our pup Mattie. Mattie injured her back a few weeks ago while participating in her favorite hobby, hunting lizards. Since that day she’s been in terrible pain and is unable to use her back legs. We’ve tried everything we can think of to help her heal. We’ve followed veterinary recommendations to let her rest and continue on the medications prescribed but Mattie is getting worse, not better. The function in her leg has declined and the pain is getting worse- it’s devastating to see her suffer like this. We got Mattie for my dad for father’s day 2017 after we had grieved the loss of my grandmother and our family dog who passed on the same day. She’s was instrumental in healing us all through that and has been such a light in our lives since then. She’s such a huge part of our family and we’ve never had a dog with as big a heart or personality as her. She’s such a saucy, lively gal who loves spending her days outside with my dad working, sunbathing or hunting lizards. We truly can’t imagine what we would do without her but lack the resources to help her in the way she needs at this point. Anything you can give will help fund the surgery needed for her back, as well as other medical costs related to the treatment she needs.
