Dear friend, To keep our doors open, feed animals in need, and assist in getting animals crucial veterinary care, our rescue needs to raise $30,000 by October 1st to continue to meet the ever growing needs of the animals we care for and help within our Jones County Community. The economic changes that have impacted our community and country have not been lost on our small non-for-profit. Recently, we have faced the challenges of paying off a $62,000 SBA loan, a COVID government loan that should not have had to be paid back but unfortunately ours was not forgiven, as well as trying to manage several unusually expensive vet bills. Our organization is working tirelessly to build our financial stability. Surrendered to our shelter back in July of 2024, Max, a german shepherd mix, was heartworm positive requiring extensive medical treatment. An energetic boy with an aptitude for high jumps and wet kisses. Max would require a very special person and circumstance to suit his personality and breed. This is when the Animal Rescue League stepped up to the challenge, got him immediate medical care, vetting, and practice socializing. By September of 2024 the stars aligned and our boy met his match and was not just adopted but chosen to begin training and working as a bomb sniffing dog on the coast. Today he is thriving, loved, and is using his natural skills to help his community. Did you know that the Animal Rescue league gives care to over 100 animals each year just like Max? A gift of $25, $50, or $100 or more could help provide food, wellness check ups, monthly medicine, spay/neutering, and even the possibility of expanding our shelter size. With the support of community members like you, animals like Max, have been able to find their forever home. Will you make a difference in an animal's life today?
