Hi, I’m Daisy, and I am the person who had the pleasure of brining Keanu and Tina together. Keanu is from a dogfighting case and to say he spent the first 5 years of his life in hell is an understatement. You can see from the photos that he is covered in scars. Dogfighting left Keanu with some serious health issues and Tina has gone so far above and beyond to get him through Babesia and PLN. I have never been more thankful for an adopter than I have been for Tina as she carried Keanu through so many tough medical days. This week has been shocking and difficult and Tina is struggling to wrap her head around yet another medical issue. Keanu has a tumor on his heart. The best option now is to remove the majority of the sac from that side of his heart to release pressure. While prognosis will be palliative care, it could give them two years or more together. Of course the surgery is incredibly expensive and Keanu’s medical bills have already cost thousands. Tina and Keanu need our support. In an ideal world, we wouldn’t have to crowd fund for medical bills. But here we are, and if we all give a little, we can make this burden a little lighter. Keanu has been in my home and he is part of my extended family. He and Bg have a beautiful friendship, and even he befriended Oz and Justin (both tiny sassy boys who Keanu gave a lot of grace to!) Keanu is the reason we fight so hard for survivors of dogfighting, because we’re helping to right the wrongs in the world when we do. Let’s help Tina give Keanu the best Golden Years he can possibly have. Thank you so very much.
