Hi friends, we all love Jumbo, he has had a heck of a struggle getting here. With your help, we got him through the Polyp removal surgery last year. Now we need help for his Cleft Palate surgery. We thought that he could be OK and manage it but we had an episode few days ago where he got a piece of chicken stuck in his breathing nasals and could not clear it so therefore he could barely breathe and we had to take him in which was $850 to just have it cleared. Just to briefly explain the process we go through every day to feed him is as follows: Every morning and every evening we have to cut chicken tenders in to a perfect size pieces so that Jumbo can swallow them without choking and without getting it stuck in his cleft palate. Jumbo is not able to drink by himself so every morning and every evening after his meal we give him approximately 40 mils of special milk formula. Using a syringe we drip milk it into his mouth so he can swallow it. Sometimes it comes out of his nose, but that’s just part of the process. Once in a while he will get chicken stuck in his cleft palate opening so we have to use a Q-tip to dislodge it, Jumbo is not happy with when we do it sometimes Jumbo sneezes pieces of chicken through his nose We don’t want him to be struggling with eating and drinking so I think it’s time for him to have the surgery. He brings joy to everyone around the world and he is most unique and happiest little kitten we’ve ever had. Thank you everyone! May God bless you for all the help and support. We want Jumbo to live a happy, healthy life and bring joy to everyone around the world with his big eyes and short little legs. ❤️
