My beloved aunt Gloribel “Gole” had a massive stroke that left her in a coma on Monday June 26th. Gole is a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, and friend who touched the lives of those around her. Gole is a hard-working woman who fought hard to come to this country (USA) which she called her second home. She dedicated her life to raising her children and financially support her family back home in the Dominican Republic. She had such a big heart that she also adopted her niece whose mother passed away. Gole was always loving, caring, and selfless; she’s like a second mom to us her nieces and nephews. We are all devastated by Gole’s stroke. Unfortunately, her doctors don’t seem to think that she will ever recover. She was in an induced coma for a few days; hoping that she would wake up on her own; she got taken off sedatives; but she still hasn’t woken up. And with a saddened heart and no more financial resources; we are thinking of taking her off life support. Her children and family back home (Dominican Republic) want her back. They would love to see her dear beloved mother one last time. Unfortunately, we are not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service let alone for transport overseas. We would love to give Gole the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes. I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Gole’s funeral and transport. We need to raise $20,000 as soon as possible to be able to afford her funeral service. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time. Thank you so much and have a wonderful day. Glenis Minaya
