UPDATE! Because of INSANE response just minutes after posting this, we reached the initial goal! I have therefore raised the goal a little to get Wayne a few other things for his setup. I can not thank each and every one of you enough for the kindness! UPDATE 2! You guys just keep being generous, and I keep raising the goal, haha. I hope no-one feels bad / mad about me doing this, but the more we can gather for Wayne, the better really. And I want everyone to get a chance to join in. Wayne Hufford, also known as WhatAboutAmeobi is a very eager sim racer on the iRacing platform. A trusted member of both the OBRL (Old Bastards Racing League) and the VLS iRacing League (VctryLnSprts). He runs multiple scheduled races every single week, but is stuck with a rather low end setup. With three monitors, all in different sizes (one is even a 4:3 ratio), an old Thrustmaster T150 wheel mounted to a desk, and a kitchen chair. He doesn't complain. Not at all. "It is what it is" as he says. And claims the gear doesn't make the driver. Although thats partly correct, there is no doubt he would be better off with better gear. We all know that. I would love to buy a full rig for him with monitors, a good wheel and pedals + good chair, but I can't expect that from the community, so I thought I'd start with the most important part. The Pedals. Every sim racer know that the pedals is key to a sim rig, and this is where this fundraiser comes up. A set of Thrustmaster T-LCM is listed at $299 Canadian (where he lives) on Amazon. This fundraiser is set in NOK because yours truly is located there and I couldn't figure out how to change the currency. 2700 NOK is about $350 Canadian, so it will cover the fees from LFEBridge and potensially shipping costs. (For donation purposes, 100 NOK is just over 13 Canadian dollars with todays rate. If we don't make the goal, you can either choose to get the money back, or we donate whatever we get together to Wayne, and he can put it aside for when he can afford to put the rest in himself. If we by any chance go OVER the goal, every single dollar will of course go to Wayne so that he could possibly upgrade any other sim equipment. This is his hobby, he uses it a ton, and deserves better. But we all know him - he won't spend it himself. His daughter is his priority, always.
