Hi there, my name is Gabrielle Torres. What do you want to be when you grow up? A question every kid gets asked throughout their life. From age 3, my answer has always stayed the same—a professional ballet dancer. Ballet has been a part of my life from the beginning. I started my first class at 2 and the rest is history. I am now 16 and this beautiful art form has been with me through everything. I will never forget all the wonderful people who have taught and guided me along this crazy journey. Thank you all for fueling my determination and teaching me the importance of persistence and hard work. I am eternally grateful. Each day I fall in love with this art form all over again. The feelings I get while performing are unexplainable. The rush you get just can't be matched or replicated. It's addicting, and I am beyond thankful for every time I've been lucky enough to have been overcome by it. I want to keep ballet as a part of my life for as long as I possibly can, but the road to becoming a professional is a long and difficult one. It requires countless hours of training, and you have to want it more than anything. Which I do. I want this career more than I've ever wanted anything. I was lucky enough to be offered a position in the prestigious Ballet West Academy PTD (Professional Training Division) program in Salt Lake City, Utah after attending the summer intensive this year. I improved so much in just 3 weeks and would love to see how far this coming season could take me on my journey to achieving my goals. I made so many incredible friendships and memories in the great environment. It would be a dream to accept the position and return for the year-round season. This is the perfect next step for my training. It is an amazing opportunity but also an expensive one. Numerous costs really start to add up, that is why I need your help. Some of the costs include tuition, housing, food, and pointe shoes which cost about $130 a pair and can be used fully in less than a week. My family and I are asking for your help to make it possible for me to attend Ballet West Academy this fall. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. If you can not give monetarily, sharing this with family and friends is another important way to lend your support. Thank you in advance for all the ways you may support me, my goals, and my dreams. Much love and gratitude, Gabrielle <3Watch me grow up through ballet ->https://youtube.com/shorts/9mE5nK8iOLg?feature=share
