Hello from the Burkett Family, With a heavy heart, we ask that you please help us with being able to afford the vet bills for our poor puppy Gus Gus. On Friday, July 24th Gus Gus was attacked by another dog while we were out of state, at first it seemed that the injuries that had occurred were not very serious. We asked our house sitter to keep an eye on him and if his symptoms get worse take him to the vet. On Sunday, July 30th our daughter Katie came home to find that he was reeking of infection and holding on to dear life. She rushed him to the ER vet, once she got him there he was taken into the back and was worked on for over 5 hours straight. Finally, on Monday morning he was able to be picked up from the vet. The worst of the injuries occurred to his left ear and his two hind legs, all other injuries are mainly scrapes and puncture wounds. He is very swollen and fighting off infection in two of the larger injuries. Every day he is slowly getting his smile back but he still has a long road of recovery. Please help us fight alongside him!
