I am hoping to raise some money to help this sweet dog. Her name is Beth, and she belongs to a very special human. Beth’s human Moms are the best. Together they do a lot to help vulnerable animals. Denyce has dedicated many years to helping animals in need. She runs a bird rescue that helps parrots who have lost their owners, been the victims of abuse and neglect, or belonged to families that simply cannot care for them anymore for various reasons. I have watched her give everything she has to help animals in need. But now she needs a little help, and I am hoping our wonderful and amazing community can help her sweet puppy. Beth’s problems started with a sudden swelling of her eyelid and that eye became “lazy.” Shortly after that, she began to struggle to keep food down and her lymph nodes began swelling a lot as well. She was taken to the vet, and after a battery of tests and trying different meds, they decided that they thought she might have Horners syndrome. Horners syndrome effects the nerves that go down your neck and face. It is caused from 1 of 4 things. Stroke, tumor, head trauma or infection. She has been treated for infection but all of her labs have come back "unremarkable " She improved a little but it was short lived. Beth’s eye began to heal, the swelling went down, and she returned to her spunky, little self for a brief time. Sadly, very quickly after a short period of healing her other eye began to swell. The back of her head is swelling now. Her family is out of resources and she really needs to see a specialist and have a CT scan done. If you are willing to help, her family would be so grateful.
