Hello everyone. My name is Raven and I have started this GoFund Me page for Duck, my friendly, loves everyone and everything, absolutely a daddy’s boy, almost four year old dog. Duck is 100% a farm dog and while doing two of his favorite things, morning farm chores and playing with his sister Squid, he fell down the slope of our retaining wall and tore his cranial cruciate ligament all the way through. For those of you who may not know what this is, it is the equivalent of a human ACL. I will never forget the sound he made when he hit the bottom nor the way he cried until I got to him. Since that dreadful Thursday morning three weeks ago, with the help of medication, Ducky has officially been a tripod. Unable to use his right hind leg, unable to run through the woods with his sister or go on his regular long walks with his family. His surgery will hopefully be mid-August (sadly specialty animal surgeons in our area have very far out scheduling dates and we were incredibly lucky to get a consult date a month after he got hurt). This is where Duckling needs your help. His surgery alone costs an average of $6,000 dollars. This does not include his consult fee or any aftercare. Duck is hoping to raise $7,000 dollars to help his mom and dad cover the bills, because he knows his mom and dad can’t do it alone. For whatever you can give, Duck says Thank You with one of his big “I love you” kisses. Squid says Thank you with a hug. And his parents, Eric and I, thank you with all of our hearts.
