A lot of people know that I do jewelry as a hobby. When I still lived in Connecticut, I had access to an awesome lapidary lab with all the equipment I needed to cut and polish gemstones, and I would take great delight in showing off my finished creations on Facebook. Once I moved to New Hampshire, though, I no longer had access to the right equipment to do that, and the club that I belong to doesn't have a lab. Even if they did, the lab would be more than an hour away, which hardly makes it accessible if I just want to do a little cutting one weeknight or the like. So, for my birthday, I'm turning to my friends to help crowdfund one. The machine I have my eye set on is the 8" version of the Kingsley North Cabbing machine (https://kingsleynorth.com/kingsley-north-cabber-8.html). It is ideal due to the size of the wheels (both height and width), the space between the wheels, and the water cooling system that can draw water up from a bucket, drip it over whichever wheel I'm using, and then drain into a drain bucket. It even has end wheels for final polish. With this machine, I will have everything I need in order to go back to being able to cut and polish stones, and show them to people. Help me bring a little bit of beauty to Facebook, and to everyday life.
