Hello we are Pivotal Directions, an international service nonprofIt that takes tomorrow’s leaders to struggling third world countries. This is Calvin: a 73 year old former fisherman in the Kingston, Jamaican landfill community. Calvin struggles with mental illness and won’t come out of his shelter, won’t bathe, can’t see doctors, and likely uses the floor as a bathroom. Family can only do so much and there aren’t the resources for people like him. His collapsing “home” is built of scrap materials such as cardboard, rotting wood, and metal. A hole is in place of a door. Your money would go towards building a humane shelter so he can live in dignity as every human should.
