We have reopened this fundraiser for Ana and her boys. As you know and can imagine, it has been an extremely difficult and stressful time for Ana, Junior, and Michael. The pain of Anthony’s loss three months ago is beyond what words can adequately express. The bills are still a major worry. Added to that, serious health issues have made the stress of this time even greater. Ana and the boys have not had a chance to breathe yet, so we are increasing the goal we originally set to $25,000. We hope to give them several months of time to simply focus on their grief, their health, and getting their feet under them. Again, anything you are able to share is deeply and sincerely appreciated. We will keep you posted! ******* It is with heavy hearts that we - Mr. Fresquez's Dover School Family - set up this LFEBridge for Anthony Fresquez's chosen family – his love, Ana Henriquez and the sons of his heart Junior and Michael. On July 26, 2024, Anthony went to the ER with stomach pain and a devastating 4 hours later he was gone. Ana and the boys, his friends and colleagues, his students…all of his loved ones had lost him in a matter of hours. Anthony and Ana had saved to move to a new place and had been building a home together that they were proud to be creating through hard work and love of family. They were headed to Disneyland for a summer trip this weekend. Now, 5 days later, the boys are worried about eating when they’re hungry because food is expensive. They are uncertain they can afford to stay in their beloved new home. They depended on Anthony’s income and now aren’t sure what the future holds. Anthony's loss has been so sudden and so huge, Ana and the boys need time to digest that this is all real – to catch up to the fact that this is really happening. He’s really gone. Anthony Fresquez was a deeply loving person. There was no one more likely to tell you what he thought, to tell you a joke, or to lend a helping hand than Anthony Fresquez. He was a true, loyal friend. He will be missed beyond what words can express. Now, imagine all the love and loyalty he gave to his friends and community, and multiply that many times over. That is what he felt for Ana, Junior, and Michael. You can imagine the depth of their loss. You can imagine the depth of their need to honor him, who he was, who he will always be to them. Ana, Junior, and Michael need the time without worrying about where they will live or if they can buy food. They need time to heal. We are asking for your help to get them the time and support they need. For now, Ana and her boys need contributions to help cover the expense of a little breathing room while they get their feet under them, they need help to cover their monthly expenses for six months. As we all know, both expenses for a small family are not easy to cover, so any contribution would be deeply appreciated. There is no contribution too small. Every bit will help.
