Would You Like To Help Support AJ Herring's Ice Hockey Journey Meet AJ Herring, a promising 14-year-old lad who has ice hockey running through his veins. He has been selected to play for England and he couldn't be more excited. But we need some help. AJ has spent nine of his fourteen years committed to this fast-paced sport, developing a remarkable skill set that sees him playing beyond his years. He is part of the Peterborough Phantoms, often sharing the ice with players much older than himself, a testament to his exceptional talent and skill in the game. The Peterborough Phantoms isn't just another team for AJ, it's part of his family legacy. His father, a former player himself and now a coach, and his auntie, who played for the women's Great Britain team securing gold in the world championships, have both played in Peterborough with Pride. Like them, AJ is not just playing; he's keeping a tradition alive. And AJ's talent isn't going unnoticed. AJ has been given the incredible opportunity to represent England in international competitions, which is a great honour. This will provide him with an invaluable platform to demonstrate his abilities and potential to the world. He has also been selected to play for the British Selects team where he has played in international tournaments alongside players from England and Scotland. Not only playing against Triple-A teams but actually competing against them and securing 3rd place in one of Riga’s biggest junior tournaments which was a huge achievement. With some support and guidance, we believe AJ could have the opportunity to join the ranks of professional ice hockey players in the not-so-distant future. However, ice hockey is an expensive pursuit. The costs for top-tier equipment, regular travel, and comprehensive training add up quickly. AJ's family, steeped in the sport themselves, are supporting him as much as they can, but they need help to ensure AJ has everything he needs to continue his journey. The cost of equipment and kit combined with travel and accommodation all over the UK and to international events currently costs around £15,000 to £20,000 per year. This is where we need your help.
