Two years ago, the last time we were back in the States, our kids got to have their first experience with American schooling, and they LOVED it. In our normal lives overseas they have a very rich childhood experience, and they are doing well academically through their homeschooling, but the opportunity to make American friends (several of whom they still chat with regularly), experience a different learning environment, familiarize themselves with their home culture, and more have been incredibly valuable and rewarding for them. This year Kelli and the kids are headed back several weeks earlier so they can be there the entire semester; Addie will be in 7th grade and Wes in 4th! We have received some financial aid and scholarships from the school, but the semester cost is still over $2k each. We deeply appreciate all the generosity and partnership we have received from so many, and if you wish to help with this specific expense we appreciate that immensely! Addie with a few of the friends she made Wes with his 2nd grade teacher, whom he still talks about frequently.
