Dear Friends & Family, While several of you already know the circumstances, some may just now be learning of this need. For 23 years, our wonderful friend Aaron Drew Spicer has fought HIV/AIDS and due to complications brought on by the medications themselves and multiple separate health issues, his body can no longer fight the virus and he was placed into in-home hospice care 4 months ago. A couple of friends and I have been by his side from the beginning of his entry into hospice and have seen his decline. Aaron was able to line up a Power of Attorney, finish his Living Will, Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care and Financials. We now come to one final issue, funding his cremation. His brother Jason passed away just a little over a year and a half ago. His parents funded Jason’s cremation and Aaron doesn't want to put his burden on them. Detroit Cremation Society of Grand Blanc is the chosen facility that will take care of Aaron after he’s departed: Cremation: $1,295 + tax = $1372.70 Death Certificate: 1st copy is free Death Certificate: Additional 5 copies needed for government agencies: $10 per copy = $50 Possible Unexpected Expenses Per Aaron’s wishes, there will be no funeral itself, no obituary and no viewing. I will keep everyone updated as this progresses regarding a celebration of life event when the time comes. Thank you so much for helping if you’re able. My goal is to give Aaron a little peace of mind knowing this is taken care of in advance. Much Love, Daisy Blaha
