Heart in Hand Rescue Coeur en Main is a non-profit organization based in Montreal, Quebec completely run by volunteers. As we have no physical shelter, we rely on fosters to take care of cats and kittens. We’ve been saving cats and kittens since 2014. All our cats and kittens are placed in approved foster homes, who can provide them with a stable environment and lots of love. They are never raised in cages or kennels. All our cats and kittens are fully integrated in our foster families’ homes and get to socialize with their temporary family, which sometimes includes other pets. All our cats receives complete vet care before they leave to their furever families! They are dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped and sterilized! Some of our cats need more financial help for vet care. We often have cases of ringworms, panleucopenia, worms, ataxic cases, etc. We need products to disinfect, meds to buy regularly (Lysine, Fortiflora, etc) and also new regular toys, litter, etc. We help around 1k cats and kittens per year and have 350 at all times in foster families. We also do TNR (trap-neuter-release) with colonies all around Quebec to help reduce the cat population. You can fallow us on Instagram or Facebook : @hhcmrescue or on our website page : https://heartinhandrescue.wordpress.com Squid is just about the cutest. Rolling around, playing, chasing flies, purring affectionately. He was born with Pectus Escavatum, it’s a deformation of the ribcage that varies in severity from one case to the next. It becomes riskier as they grow and we aren’t sure at this point whether or not his heart and lungs will have sufficient space to grow. His appointment is next tuesday : 8000$ including taxes !!!!! Update : IMPORTANT UPDATE TO ALL OUR SQUID LOVERS AND SUPPORTER. OUR FURRY SQUID has had NO complications and is doing well after his surgery today. Her is enjoying the morphine buzz and feeling especially loving towards his accompanying stuffed care-bear as a result. OH happy day. His breathing will be much improved now that his lungs can expand correctly. The next 48 hours are determining and his foster mommy Sarah O. is also breathing better today - for different reasons of course.....and so are we all. We so love him....and are thrilled that his life is being saved and on the mend because of a BIG LOVING VILLAGE OF donors that supported this critical option. Much love is being sent your way. THE TEAM AT Heart in Hand Rescue Coeur en Main IS SO truly incredible and as the Director I have much love and tear-filled gratitude for these amazing individuals of make the TEAM work really like DREAM WORK !! It isn't always easy but we work through it all and are stronger because of it. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU AT HHCM AND OUR FOLLOWERS ...THE PRAYERS AND THE WELL WISHES FOR OUR SPECIAL LITTLE SQUID. More updates to come !!   ATTENTION ✨ SQUID needs your help. He has an appointment on Monday and is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday. We need help fundraising. We need more visibility. Can you share? Promote? Donate? Kittens born with Funnel chest can live long and happy lives. The surgery isn’t without risk but his ribcage is currently too small for his growing lungs and he risks going into respiratory distress. It isn’t expected he can survive without the surgery. Our goal is 8000$ and it doesn’t cover possible complications that may arise nor does it cover medications during recovery. We have currently accumulated 5000$ Every little bit helps. Please share, like, donate! (Etransfer to [email redacted] question:for squid, answer donation ) Reach out if you have experience with fundraising and want to join our volunteer team. We are a non profit organization who receive no subventions so our funds are always low  Please help us give Squid all the support he needs to grow big and strong so he can keep napping, snacking and purring into his elder years ❤️  ❤️ If you are interested in learning more about his condition, it is explained here :http://www.kittenlady.org/pectus $125 of $500 raised so far ❤️ Mama Oignon went in for sterilization this week and we were informed that she has severe peridontal disease and will need significant dental work which will cost about 500$. She is one of the spiciest moms we’ve had this year. She has attacked her patient and understanding foster several times and is clearly unhappy to be inside but is taking care of her babies who will be available for adoption. Her vet bill will be around 500$ for her dental work which we would like to do for her before releasing her back to her colony. If you can contribute or like or share, please do. We don’t believe that long term socialization is in her best interests as she so clearly wants nothing to do with humans but there’s a possibility that it’s related to the pain she is experiencing due to her dental health and we would love to raise the funds soon so that we could see afterwards if her demeanor changes. We’ve all had tooth aches and it can certainly affect our moods Can you help us help Oignon feel better?
