Winter is fast approaching, and Maple Farm Sanctuary (MFS) needs hay to feed our animals through the cold months.MFS is a non-profit sanctuary in Mendon, Massachusetts, that rescues and provides homes for abused, abandoned, and unwanted farm animals. We were founded in 1998 by former dairy cow farmers who had a profound change of heart—today, we are home to over 100 rescued animals including cows, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, and llamas. The video above will introduce you to some of the amazing animals in our care:●  Lucky, a frisky dwarf miniature pony who was left by breeders to die in a field because he was born with  deformities.●  Boo Boo, a sweet cow who was rescued from a small farm where he was being badly neglected and was found with porcupine quills covering his face.●  Piggy Small, a pot-bellied pig who was being raised as a pet until his owners realized he was too big to care for.●  Piyo, a tiny gosling who we nursed back to health after he was found alone and sick along the banks of the Charles River.MFS is committed to providing lifelong homes and care for all of the animals we rescue. While we produce some of our own organic hay, this year the number of bales coming off the fields is drastically down due to limited rainfall. We need three trailers of hay to feed the animals this winter, and the price of hay has gone up from $5,000 to over $6,000 per trailer.Any money raised above our goal will be put towards the myriad other expenses a non-profit sanctuary incurs, including general repairs and maintenance, veterinary costs, and shavings to provide warm and cozy bedding for the winter. We have the deepest and most sincere gratitude to everyone who donates - even the smallest bit counts. Our animals say "Thank you," too! Video generously created by: David Niles
